Client Critiques
1st, all of these low critiques are based on the truth that folks purchased Season 1, Volume 1 DVD's of the show - and are now mad that they are releasing a complete season on DVD. Right here are a couple of points that you should acknowledge ahead of putting up a low rating:
1. They started selling Volume 1 ahead of the entire season was total. If you assume about that for a minute - how had been they going to sell a "complete" season DVD if the shows had not even aired yet? How can you be surprised that you would then be faced with a choice at the end of the season amongst acquiring the complete season in 1 set or having to acquire Volume two? Other shows have performed the exact same issue, like Battlestar Galatica. Positive, they do it to make funds - to hit the market when the shows are hot - but the fault is genuinely the consumer. If we all stopped obtaining these 1/two season DVD's, they would stop selling them. You KNOW they are gonna release a complete season DVD at the end of the season. Heck, even if a show is cancelled, they nonetheless release it on DVD to make additional revenue. Be patient.
two. Volume two is listed here on Amazon for pre-order and they are giving a discount to everyone who bought Volume 1, if they decide to buy the complete season 1. Do not make it sound like you are becoming forced to get the complete season now. You have the solution of obtaining Volume two, or finding the complete season at a discount.
As for the show, I like it. The writing and dialoge is well crafted and the characters, although somewhat stylized, are believable. I will admit, that the last couple shows seemed to lose a step and allowed the music to develop into much more vital that the storyline - so, hopefully now that the urgent competition is over, the story lines would be allowed to develop. I did like that they have broadened the focus, allowing the supporting cast to do far more solo perform and shine far more in the singing division. The character of Sue is one particular of the most beneficial characters written on any show right now.
Now that the initial season is out on Blu-ray, I would encourage those who have heard about the show - who may have caught an episode or two - to get started at the beginning and enjoy the Glee experience. We lastly have a show that combines comedy, drama, musical capabilities, and excellent writing. Take the opportunity.
Shame on those who reviewed before FOX released the plans for "Glee: Season 1, Volume two - The Road to Regionals." Do not be deceived by the many 1 star evaluations. Most are just ill-founded opinions about feeling forced into shopping for the first half of Season 1 again when, in actuality, they can order Volume 2 instead of "Glee: The Full Very first Season."
So, in short, if you want to get the full Season 1, do it! Glee is an amazing show. If you only want the back 9 episodes, order "Glee: Season 1, Volume 2 - The Road to Regionals." And lastly, do not make critical evaluations until all knowledge is released. It negatively affects te sales of great products.
